Services

Not every pet emergency needs to be treated at a Specialty Center or 24-hour ICU, and sometimes your Primary Care Veterinarian is either not able to fit your pet emergency into their afternoon or they are closed.

We're here for your pet's urgent needs

  • Have you ever come home from work to find that your dog or cat has vomited once, started having diarrhea, urinated outside the litterbox, or started coughing?
  • Has your dog been at the park or doggie daycare and torn his toenail, cut her paw or leg, or gotten in a scuffle with another pet?
  • Is your pet squinting all of a sudden or has ocular or nasal discharge?
  • Is your dog asking to go outside to urinate more frequently or has blood in the urine?

We are available after your typical workday to help you with these urgent times.

Urgent care is focused on using state-of-the-art diagnostic tools to diagnose and treat minor illnesses and wounds at a reasonable cost.

How we provide care

– We offer digital radiography (X-rays).

– On-site evaluation as well as digital referral to a Radiologist is available.

– Ultrasound for the urgent care setting is used as a tool for diagnosing specific disease processes.

Our on-site laboratory allows for fast results.

Our lab includes:

– Complete Blood Count

– Chemistry Profile

– Urinalysis

– Microscopic analysis (cytology)

– Rapid-result tests to help diagnose specific diseases

Walk-In Medical Care

Your pet is our priority

We provide general anesthesia and less-invasive local anesthesia for minor wound repairs.

Many veterinary-only prescription medications (certain antibiotics, NSAIDs, and others) will be filled in-hospital, but when able we will send a prescription home with you to fill at your local pharmacy.

We are a PAPERLESS practice!
– All instructions will be emailed to you.

– The complete medical record, including any diagnostic results, are sent to your Primary Care Veterinarian for all follow-up care.

Cash free!
We accept payments in the form of all major credit cards, Care Credit, and personal check.

At EMMAvet, we are proud to offer the gold standard of medical care for your pet’s urgent needs.

Why we are here

Not every pet emergency needs to be treated at a Specialty Center or 24-hour ICU, and sometimes your Primary Care Veterinarian is either not able to fit your pet emergency into their afternoon or they are closed.

We want to offer gold standard veterinary care at the cost and convenience that our fast-paced community deserves.

We do not offer: overnight hospitalization, boarding, major surgeries

If necessary, stabilization of pets can be performed for transfer to a nearby Specialty Center or Trauma Center/24-hour Intensive Care Unit.
